Duplicate Email Notifications on iWatch

I am receiving duplicate email notifications on my iWatch, and cannot figure out how to change the alerts.  My email is through Exchange.  I checked on both my iPhone and iWatch and cannot see what is wrong?  I did update my iPhone with the new update last night.  Not sure if that matters.  Any advice?  Thank you.
