2011 Macbook Pro GPU Fault
Hi,
I bought the MacBook in Dec 2015 via Ebay.
Macbook was originally purchased in Dec 2011.
It has now developed the dreaded GPU fault which Apple have confirmed. They advised that it could still be repaired under UK consumer law as it wasn't yet 6 years old and arranged for it to be brought in.
Then I found out that this wasn't going to happen as the guy I bought it from on Ebay had bought it from an Apple Store in Italy instead of in the UK which I obviously didn't know about or even think to ask about at the time.
So even though the fault remains, I'm left with a manufactured faulty MacBook which isn't likely to be repaired because of the country it was purchased in - even though we are in the EU.
Can anyone offer any advice as to a way forward with this?
Thanks!
