How do I get IPOD Nano out of plastic casing?

How do I get it out without damaging the device?

Thanks for any help. I am guessing a hammer is not the right answer.

If you want to release the iPod out of the factory plastic casing, you simply bend back on both ends of the plastic casing. Then your iPod will be free!
