Apple ID password modal dialog prevents passwor...

Whenever iTunes Store (iOS) prompts for an Apple ID password, it does so with a modal dialog, preventing the use of a password manager. When will Apple fix this? In the meantime, what is the convenient workaround?

I will note that, at present, I am getting seemingly random Apple ID password prompts from the Store. When I go to Settings, I don't get prompted (Touch ID instead), so I haven't yet been able to shut off these prompts. Suggestions here would be appreciated, too.
