160GB (!!!) System files, how do I fix?

I've had this MacBook Pro for a few years and recently I had an incident trying to install a game called World of Tanks, hoping to play with my friends who kept poking me about it. Apparently WoT didn't like my machine, because it filled up my whole disk with garbage and I had to give up and uninstall the whole thing. (It didn't like my PC desktop either, but that's another story)

Anyway, I quickly forgot the whole thing until lately my MacBook began telling me to clean up files to make space for new stuff (I need to make a BootCamp partition to use for school, which it told me requires 50GB). Considering how long I've had it, that's natural right? So I go in, clean up or optimize everything I don't need or haven't used in more than a year, but there's not a lot to clean up. I go back and take a closer look...

Wat.
System takes up 160GB out of 250? That's not right is it? Did that World of Tanks game leave MORE junk on my machine where I can't clean it out? ****.
I'm guessing I have to take this in to get looked at, but the nearest Apple Store is always busy (thanks Austin) and I'd rather not have to send it in while I still need to use it for other things. Is there any way to (attempt to) fix this myself? I'll only be cleaning out files I'm sure were created/left by that ******* mess of a game months ago, anything else I'll assume necessary for the MacBook to function.

Try downloading and installing OmniDiskSweeper:  OmniDiskSweeper

OmniDiskSweeper will sort your files by size and show you where they are located. This should allow you to determine exactly what you have on your MBP.

You may also be able to move some of these larger files such as videos, etc. to an external drive to free up space on your startup drive.

See the following video on OmniDiskSweeper. Using OmniDiskSweeper
