step by step instructions for fastest internet ...

Isn't it best (for maximum speed) to run my xfinity modem/router in bridge mode and let my AirPort Time Capsule 802.11ac run the network? If so I need step by step detailed instructions on how to configure the Technicolor TC8715D modem/router that xfinity provides in bridge mode and use the time capsule as the only router. I have ethernet availability on my laptop to change configuration on the xfinity modem/router. I can login and edit in xfinity but after several attempts I have yet to succeed. HELP! Before upgrading to xfinity x1 my only showing networks were from my time capsule. After the tech came and changed out the router we have had internet problems. The xfinity home networks were showing up which i assume means he didn't put the router in bridge mode. When I try to do this I have yet to be successful. After I succeed with this I will also want to add some wifi extenders so I would love to know what people would recommend. THANKS!
