Dock not showing icons after 10.12.6 update

I have just updated to 10.12.6 and now my dock isnt showing any icons which is extremely annoying! Any one else with the same issue and recommendations?

From your Finder Go menu > Go to folder and copy and paste this file path:

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Dock.plist

Press Return.

Delete the plist file and log out and back in or restart.

Did you already try simply restarting your Mac?
