How do I get 64GB of photos from my iPhone 6&nb...

How do I get 64GB of photos from my iPhone 6+ to my MacBook Pro that only has 48 GB of Hard Drive space? I have available flash drives but no way to transfer to them. Ultimate goal is to free up space on both devices and save all photos on flash drives. Thanks.

I love arithmetic.

You are going to need some kind of external drive, NOT a stupidly slow USB drive. On top of being slow, flash drives are notoriously flaky, unreliable, prone to break down, etc. NEVER use those things as backup or archive medium. Get a real external drive, preferably some kind of portable USB 3 drive. They are dirt cheap. Buy two. Use the second one as a TimeMachine backup.

Are you importing your pictures to the Photos Library? If yes you would have to move that library to external drive, open it from that location and import your pictures as you normally do.

Second option is to use the Image Transfer app in your Applications folder. The app will give the choice of WHERE you want to transfer all those pictures. Wisely, you will choose the external drive.

In any case, that external drive should be backed up to yet another drive the TimeMachine drive. This way you end with free space on the internal drive, the device and you finally acquire a real backup. Win-win-win.

Buy your next Mac with a much larger drive.

You are not.  You do not say what Mac you are using, it maybe possible to upgrade your storage. Try looking Mac External and Internal Drives, SSD, Drive Enclosures & More!

If you have an external drive or 128GB USB flash you can move them there, until you figure something out for freeing up space on your internal drive.
