best is to post a screen shot (shift + command + 3), with folders and subfolders in list view.

You can also see what's being used with: ->About This Mac->[storage]

If you have a large iPhoto Library and converted to Photo's, you may be able to free up space by deleting the old iPhoto Library as long as you never go back to using the old iPhoto App.
