Stalled out at the beginning of recovery over i...

I am in the process of recovering macOS online and I have gotten to the beginning where it says to setup, click continue. 

 

Once clicking a pop-up appears and says "to download and restore macOS, your computer's eligibility will be verified with Apple." I click continue and it does nothing. I am still connected to wifi, too. It defaults back to the first screen.

Alright. So I figured out my problem was the Mac wasn't connected to wifi. I found the wifi connection in the top right corner. That hurdle has been crossed. Now on to actually installing the os!

I understand that you are trying to reinstall macOS using Recovery, and you are having an issue when it attempts to verify your eligibility. I'm happy to provide some help for this issue.

If macOS was originally installed with a different Apple ID than you currently using, then you would want to make sure you are using Internet Recovery to reinstall it. You can find how to do that below:

To manually start up from macOS Recovery over the Internet, hold down Option-Command-R or Shift-Option-Command-R at startup.


Additionally, try doing this when connected to a different network. If you are doing this at work or a school, your connection may be limited. You can find out more about the ports needed for this process here:

Hi. Thanks for replying. I was able to startup as recovery and I connected to my home wifi. As shown in the picture to my post, when I click continue to verify eligibility, it does nothing.

Thanks for following up with that information. While in macOS Recovery, use Disk Utility to repair your disk:

If after this you continue to have the same issue, contact Apple Support for further help.
