2017 iMac 27" screen cracked; where to get it f...

There's a local computer store that has a used 2017 iMac 27" that's souped up (1TB SSD; 4.2 i7; 16GB Ram), and it has a nasty crack down the screen on the middle right. The staff say they haven't had a chance to get it fixed yet and are pricing it cheap, but I'm holding out for them to get the screen replaced and paying extra. However, I'm wondering what I would need to do if I were to go ahead and buy it as is now (everything else is fine), and sending it in to Apple and paying for them to replace the screen. Any advice?
