Delay for photos to upload to iCloud from iPhone

Why does it take so long for photos to upload to my photos library on my MacBook pro from my iPhone?

Without any information other than it takes 'so long' how can we know.

It's been more than an hour, and my photos haven't uploaded from my iPhone to my MacBook pro. I'm connected to wifi and logged into iCloud.

How much data are you uploading, what is your upload speed.

Start by answering these questions.

Upload speed is 5.92 mbs, and data is roughly 18MB (9 photos).

Cancel the upload, restart whatever you are uploading from, retry.

I'm not trying to manually upload. I have iCloud photo settings set up in my devices, but it always takes a long time (hours, sometimes days) for photos to show up from my phone to my MacBook pro. I think it may be an Apple glitch. So frustrating...impacts my business. So if anyone can help, I would much appreciate it. Seems it should be instantaneous when you're connected to wifi and logged into iCloud.

Nothing is instantaneous, it all takes time and yours is taking too much of it, follow my suggestion.
