Apple Watch Series 3 LTE not able to send/recei...

My phone is on and connected to wifi, so I don't think that is the issue.

I have Verizon and I am not able to send/receive text messages when my watch is in LTE mode. I am able to make calls though which is weird. I leave my phone on at home, so it is connected to wifi and on. Any one else having this issue or know what is causing it.
