Macbook Pro restarts after closing lid/new inst...

I put a new ssd (Adata SP550 480gb) in my computer a little over a year ago. I started to experience random restarts while performing simple tasks (I.e. web browsing, light photo editing, lightly using various apps, etc.) as well as restarts when I would close the lid of my laptop and leave it for an extended period of time (4+ hrs) and then go to open it again. It reached a point where it would restart multiple times (up to 3x) while performing simple tasks or when I lifted the lid to wake it. After talking with several computer gurus, I came to the conclusion that it was probably the ssd. I did the AHT with the Adata, and it informed me that there was damage to the drive. I purchased another drive (Samsung EVO 850 500gb), and now it is doing the same thing with restarts, and my mac is much more hot while using it than it was before. I was told by a few people that it could possibly be the motherboard or perhaps poorly seated RAM. I did the AHT 2x with the new drive, and it said that everything was fine with the current drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,

A faulty HD cable is a possibility. I would install a new one to see if it fixes the issue.
