If my ipad is stolen can i find out if the person is trying to access my ipad by putting in the wrong passcode?

If you find my ipad turned on Then you can track but only if ipad is turned on.

If you registered "find my ipad"you can always access iCloud.com on any computer and with your credentials use "find my iphone'where you s"stolene the location" of your stolen device.

Here you could check "advise me when this device is found" where you would get notified.

If you can still enter the wrong password in your device, the device might not be stolen but still in your hand :-)

So you saying if they put in the wrong password and there are more attempts, i would be notified that someone is trying to access my ipad in my mail?
