why my iphone 7plus and mac book pro with osx y...

My mac book pro purchased in 2015 and iphone 7 plus recently purchased and completely updated ( both devices) frequently do not recognize each other in airdrop. Once in a while i am able to trasfer images but majority time it will not recognize.

Have requested Hosts reroute your topic. This is not an Apple ID issue.
