No sound on my ipad 2 apps.

Hi,  Ive just loaded the masterchef app onto my ipad 2 and i found that there was no sound, I've checked some other apps and found no sound as well.  I have sounds on itunes and movies but little else.  I've updated the software but with no resolution to the issue.  Are there any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

yes, I had the same problem on my ipad1. Some apps are not compactible with the 'lock rotation'.

Go to Setting, under the side switch section check the "mute" instead of the "lock rotation".

I had the same problem. On the side of your iPad where there is the volume button there is a small round button . If thet button on the side shows orange sound is locked , switch to the other side and voila...you have sound. Figured that out after I've uninstalled severeal apps and sill no sound .Hope thet works for you, at least that was my problem.Good lock.

I have ipad 2. Sound was just fine. One fine morning, i lost sound on few of my applications. Rest of applications were as good as before. I also lost lock sound, charger connect sound and key bord click sounds.

My ipad side button was set for lock rotation. I read ur point... To re set it to "mute" and it worked for me on my ipad 2.
