Hi,

I recently recognize that all my folders in desktop has disappeared. I search my whole computer and discs to find them but there is no folder in my computer right now. I really  wonder that I didn't press anywhere or accept any kind of warning even though, how could it possible not to see any of my folders in desktop? And is there any method for take them back? By the way, I can see some of my Microsoft word document's name in recently used file list, but they are not open with click. Thank you very much for your concern.



Turn off Desktop and Documents in iCloud Drive:

Add your Desktop and Documents files to iCloud Drive - Apple Support

  1. From your Mac, go to Apple menu > System Preferences > iCloud.
  2. Next to iCloud Drive, click Options.
  3. Deselect Desktop & Documents Folders.
  4. Click Done.
