Before I get rid of my mac (ICloud Q)

I'll be turning in my "work" mac soon that also houses all of my personal files. (music, photos, docs).

I've had Icloud drive on to sync everything, itunes backup, iphoto backup, you name it.. Everything cloud..I also am up to date on time machine.

Before I turn this machine back in, I'd like to wipe the hard drive, but do not want to screw up any of the sync's I've done.. Can someone please confirm what all I need to turn off before I wipe everything personal?

Also, with everything living in the cloud, should I not expect to see a disruption in my Iphone that is connected once I lose the base Mac?  It may be a few weeks before I get a new mac, so things will be in limbo for  a bit.. Assuming I log the new mac in with my apple ID, will everything just restore?

Just sign out of iCloud and erase the whole drive, if you start trying to erase individual files you'll erase them from all your devices.

Follow the steps in this Apple Support Topic:

What to do before you sell or give away your Mac - Apple Support

Be sure to make a Time Machine backup or clone, because if you don't have your old Mac to migrate from, you'll need to use that. Following the steps in the support topic, shouldn't affect your iPhone.
