I am trying to download photos from the cloud onto an external drive. With my Mac I have to download on to the computer first then transfer it over and on my pc I have to do each picture individual. I don't have the best interest either so it is taking a long time. Is there an easy way of doing it.

On the Mac, you can simultaneously press the Command key and the 'A' keys to select all.

Hold down the command key while selecting the photos. Then click Download. Another option is to select a Moment, then click the Share button, and then cancelling the Share. The photos should remain selected.

One option would be to open Photos with the option/alt key held down and create a new system Library on the external. Once everything is downloaded, reopen Photos with the option/alt key held down, and switch back to the Library on your internal drive. Switch as required/desired.
