iTune issues with iPod Touch / 11.0.1

After upgrading my iPod to 11.0.1 I am experiencing operational errors with iTunes. It will no longer play songs in numerical succession. It shuffles everything. If you activate the "Play" button on any album or playlist it will not start with the first song. Every song that has been played seems to be added to a play que.

I have attempted deactivating the "Shuffle" control with no results. It appears as though the iTunes progrm is corrupted in some way by the new OS.
