New Macbook Pro Restart

Hello,

Last week I purchased the latest MacBook Pro. I was prompted to install the latest version of macOS Sierra (Version 10.12.6). Ever since that update every time I click shut down and close the lid my MacBook restarts. I notice this when I open the lid back up and it tells me I can't sign in with my Apple Watch after a restart and that it needs my code. I am not sure what to do or how I should proceed with solving the issue.

From Disk Utility perform first aid on your startup disk. If no errors are detected then while restart hold command+option +r. Then reinstall OS. It'll work if there is some kind of problem in the OS itself.
