Swollen battery Apple Watch

MY Apple Watch battery swelled and is now pushing out my screen. Does anyone else have this problem and know of a solution?

Common problem, take it in and they send it back for repair, no charge

I have this problem too, the battery push the screen up... its happens few days ago...

Whilst Apple were not any help on the phone or on line, thankfully when I took the watch instore, the unit was replaced without any problems.

I just went through Apple Support chat and was told this is not covered.  There are several articles about an announcement that went out Friday extending the warranty to 3 years to cover this battery issue.  Next step is to go directly to the store.

i called Apple Hong Kong today and got an appointment for tomorrow to replace this unit - try again - the phone staff had the memo about the extension

Wow, that's a good news. I was unlucky since this issue happened to mine before this announcement and I was slightly out of warranty. I made an appointment in March and was told at the Genius Bar that I can pay $200 for the replacement. I fixed it myself and it wasn't that difficult - but was pretty surprised that Apple won't cover this swollen battery issue. Probably Apple had to collect enough evidence that this is not an isolated user fault issue. This is a good move Apple!

I agree there's absolutely no help on the phone. I am asked to pay $298.80 and I do not live close to any store.

Same problem here. I was at the apple store today and they sent it back and i will get a new one completly for free, even mine is 2 years old

I don't live near an Apple Store but I finally did get a hold of a senior supervisor who was really helpful. I got to send mine in and it was totally replaced. At the end really, really happy.
