Operability with Beats Pill on OS X 10.7.5

WHAT I WANT TO KNOW:

1. OPERABILITY: Can My Beats By Dr. Dre Pill operate on my Early 2008 MacBook via:
   • VMWare Fusion Widows 7 Virtual Machine
   • Windows 7 installed with Boot Camp
2. INOPERABILITY: Is Beats By Dr. Dre Pill inoperable (via no VM) with my MacBook because of:
   • OS X Version (10.7.5)
   • Hardware

3. GUI (Graphical User Interface):  What does the installed GUI allow me to do other than get sound output?

FOR NOTES:

• OS X 10.7.5 IS INSTALLED: There are no downloadable drivers for a Beats By Dr. Dre Pill
• WHEN PLUGGED IN: My Beats By Dr. Dre Pill on my Early 2008 MacBook gives sound output, unseemingly like that gotten out of my Apple TV 3.
