transferring file from macbook air to external ...

Hi,

Im a new user of macbook air. Can i get help on how to transfer file from mac to an external hard drive?

-Plug the external hard drive into its corresponding port

-Open Finder (/System/Library/CoreServices or click the Finder icon in dock)

-Select the file that you want to transfer

-Click Command+N and select your hard drive from the side bar

-Drag and drop the file you want to transfer from the first window, into the hard drive in the second window

-Eject hard drive by dragging icon to trash or clicking eject icon next to name on Finder sidebar

Hi,

Connect the HD to the Mac, an icon of the HD will appear on the desktop of the Mac, drag a file onto the HD's icon and it will be copied.
