The Echo dot and how to set it up.

I received an Echo dot and I need to know whether I can set it up on my iMac. Is the Mac compatible with echo dot and if so, how do I set it up?

Since the Echo Dot is an Amazon product, that would be a question for Amazon.

Judging buy the Amazon instructions, it does not appear you can set it up from a Mac. You need an iOS, Android or Fire OS device to do so.
