MacBook Pro 2016 keyboard issue
Hi!
I have had my new MacBook Pro 2016 w. Touch bar for almost 2 weeks. The first week I really loved the 2nd generation butterfly keyboard but the feelnes has changed.
It seems to me some buttons dosen't feel like the other ones, like the aren't moving deep enough. For instance the Enter button. Cant really tell if its imagination.
Have anyone encountered problems with their keyboards?
Apple changed the keyboard. Works great now!
ALL keys should feel equal. Any change in feeling in some keys means it needs service.
Hi, i've bought the new Mac 2 weeks ago and I have a serious issue with my "O" button. It doesn't work when you press it...after only 2 weeks. So sad :/
Yea I am having similar experience. The T key is now much 'shallower' and the enter key feels a little different too. Been using it for two weeks. Mine is a Macbook Pro 13" non touchbar.
Probably crumbs/hair/or other debris getting beneath the keys. The new scissor style keys seem to be more susceptible to this than the previous generation keyboard. A good quality camel hair brush and compressed air might solve the problem.
Mmm...my "O" button really doesn't work at any press. Thanks, but after a couple of time of usage, I don't think it's just an hair or similar :(
My "I" keys takes a much harder press than any other key and this is right out of the box.
My "I" key only works with a much harder press than any of the other keys and this is right out of the box!! 15" wth touch bar. I'm not happy. The nearest Apple Store is 3 hours away. I don't think I should have to drive that distance to have a brand new machine fixed! And I told chat support that. Some is supposed to be calling me to arrange a mail in exchange.
reviving the thread. How have you resolved this? Mine is still the same and I'm considering taking it bake to Apple Store ...
Hi sorry to hear about your problems, I bought macbook pro 15 three weeks ago, keyboard refused to type certain letters, sent it back for replacement which came today and this one is just the same so that to is going back, no help but your not on your own, not good enough for £2800

Same problem with my L key, although it does work, it feels different from all other keys. Any resolutions or do I just need to take it in?

common issue with butterfly keyboard version 1 and 2. The 12inch MacBook had this issue. If any dirt gets stuck under the keyboard the keys stick. When I owned the 12inch MacBook I brought to the Apple Store many times. I always got it fixed but they always found a way to try to blame it on me.... example they told me its the environment I am keeping it in.... Well its a laptop so ya I take it out.
Anyways a few things you can do to help.
Can of compressed air ( works best )
turn the computer over tap the bottom ( works sometimes )
Hit the key until it un sticks ( usually what I do )
Return to apple they will replace the top end or give you a new one ( done this twice with the 12inch MacBook)
Sorry about this issue. I have the 15 inch 2016 MacBook Pro with touch bar and have the exact same problem.
I sent mine to Apple with and they are exchanging top case now (keyboard, logichboard etc).
I my case I felt it was horribly to type on my computer though I loved it the first 2weeks.
i have the same problem, the keys i have used the most (sound low, spacebar, and shift) now have a different "feel" to it and only work if they are pressed harder then the rest

After one month of use (and many more typo's then in the past with the old type keyboard) suddenly one morning both the right half of the space bar and the return key didn't function anymore, unless I rammed them. The next day the problems were gone, to reappear and disappear the next days. I hate to miss the machine, but I will bring it to the store where I bought it.
