How do you access Apple Pay from the lock screen?

When they introduced Apple Pay they show how it would be accessed from the lock screen like the camera is but there is no option on the lock screen. Is there a way to get it there or did they decide not to do that after all?

When you hold your iPhone near a payment terminal, your default card should appear onscreen.

Double-click the Home button to access Apple Pay from the lock screen.
