best practice to post MOV files from iPhone or ...

HI all, we would like to post 

. MOV file over 500 mb from iPhone or iPad through poor communiation environment such as mountain recesses. 

PLEASE advise us the best practice to compress this file size with the iPhone or iPad functionarities or any additional app with a very small steps.
