I was not able to buy an episode of Switched at Birth Season 5 on my iPod Touch.  In the iTunes store, the $2.99 button for that episode was dim blue instead of bright blue that doesn't do anything.  So I bought it on my laptop thinking I could then download it.  Oops.  Now in the iTunes store, instead of a dim $2.99 button, there is a dim download from cloud button, which likewise doesn't do anything.  Can't get this episode onto my iPod, period.

Browsing in the "Latest Episodes" section of the iTunes store, I see that about half of the $2.99 buttons are bright blue and work and about half of them are dim blue and don't do anything.  No obvious pattern to it.  So this problem I'm suffering with Switched at Birth Season 5 apparently applies to many shows, but only about half of shows.  What's going on?  This is very frustrating. 

I checked storage and I have over 5GB free.

It appears you're having some problems purchasing/downloading tv shows on your iPod touch and your laptop. It doesn't appear that the purchase has gone through on your iPod touch and your laptop shows that it's been stored in the cloud, but it's not downloading. Great job in checking both devices, and I'm happy to help.
