Recommendations for multiple clipboard function...

I work in tech support, and I'm looking for a way to have a fixed list of commonly-used phrases assigned to keyboard shortcuts.  For example:

Cmd-1: I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble.

Cmd-2: Let me know if you need more help.

and so on...

I've looked into apps that give you multiple clipboards, but they seem to be more for accessing your clipboard history.  Like Cmd-1 would be the last thing you copied, cmd-2 would be the second to last, and so on.  That's not of any use to us.  We need to have a specific list of texts that stay assigned to specific hotkeys.

We are using a web-based customer support service,   and it does provide "Canned responses" which are very helpful for creating paragraph-length replies.  But it's not right for commonly-used short phrases, because the time it takes to select the canned response would defeat the purpose.

I'm hoping someone can provide an app-based or OS-based solution.  Thanks!

Text Substitutions seems appropriate for what you seek.

Thank you for your replies .  I actually got preoccupied with other customer support stuff and forgot that I had posted this, but I did finally try your suggestion.  Unfortunately, most of the people in our office use Chrome, and it doesn't seem to work in Chrome -- only Safari.  Does anyone have any other ideas?  I'm guessing we'll need a third party software solution, so I'd love some recommendations, or at least maybe someone could point me in the right direction?  Thanks!

I guess I'll look elsewhere for third party solutions.

Textexpander or Alfred might work and is similar to the built-in text substitutions, but more features.

There are also apps that provide similar features.

Don't get stuck on "clipboards." I don't think that is really what you want and you'll miss out on a lot of other utilities that would provide what you want.

I skipped even looking at this question for several days since you used the term "multiple clipboards" as I don't know about any. But that's really not what you need.

Copy'Em Paste is THE BEST multiple clipboard utility.

I highly recommend it. I've used it for years.

One word of warning: there are multiple utilities which have hidden multiple clipboard capabilities. For example, LaunchBar has one.

When you have two multiple-clipboard utilities, they can interact with each other and cause problems - including corrupting the clipboard contents.

So make sure you have only one active multiple-clipboard utility. I turned off LaunchBar's multiple clipboard function off since it is harder to use than Copy'Em Paste's functions.
