How do I proceed without loosing everything on ...

I opened my computer and I can't do anything unless I pick an option on this screen. I can't lose anything on my laptop, I am a law student. Any suggestion? I have a MacBook Pro 

It's in the Recovery partition. Just shut down, and boot up normally. You could also try booting with the option (alt) key held down, and selecting your main partition.

Choose Disk Utility > First Aid and run it. After that, see if you can restart normally.

Just choose your Mac HD and run First Aid.

I tried shutting it down but it's still in the same recovery mode, it gave me no other option to select a main partition

It's Not letting me verify, it's saying it needs to be repaired

If you are in Recovery Mode you should be able to use repair function?

Repair a disk using Disk Utility - Apple Support

If it reports the disk cannot be repaired, you'll need to replace it.
