Photo library in macbook pro hangs most time

Ever since I transferred my photos from iPhotos to Photo, I have been having problem everytime I access the photo library.  It hangs or take a long time even to delete one photo.  It can never close when I click close, most of the time I have to "Force Quit" the Photo App.  Does anyone experience this problem ?  Is there a bug ? or due to the migration from iPhotos to Photo ?  Please help as it is really frustrating and time consuming just using my photo library.
