Watch Series 1 pairing problems Watch OS 4

I recently updated my 6+ to IOS 11 with the intent on updating my Watch series 1 to OS 4. It wouldn’t update so I unpaired. When I went to re-pair it won’t initiate the pairing. I have tried to line it up in my phones camera but nothing happens. All I get is the screen shot below. Has this happened to anyone else?  If so were you able to fix this? Thank you in advance for anyone’s assistance on this.
