Upgrade mac OS

So I'm going through the struggles of upgrades. I'm usually slow to upgrade because I don't want to slow performance and as long as my machine is doing what I need I don't bother. Hence running my old MBP on OSX 10.8.5. Happy with it and won't bother changing, BUT I just bought a new iPhone with iOS 10.2 and now I have to upgrade iTunes to sync, which at this point requires upgrading my mac OSX. To not slow this old bird down too much I'd like to upgrade to the minimum OSX that will allow me to sync the phone. From what I gather 10.9 will run iTunes 12.6.2 from Apple which will sync iOS 10.2. I'd prefer to keep the app store so I'm not going with 12.7.

Is there a way/source to download and install OSX 10.9? All the places online I've found have been the latest upgrade of 10.9.5 which won't work without the base 10.9.

Mac OS X 10.9.5 (Mavericks)  is required for iOS 10 and iTunes 12.5. It is though NOT able to sync with iOS 11.

Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) is required minimum for the new iCloud Drive and iOS 11 (except for Notes, which requires El Capitan).  iTunes 12.7.0.166 is needed for iOS 11.
