Video & Music Library Doesn’t Show Up...

I just updated my iPhone and my iPad. While I have home sharing on, my music library and my video library doesn’t show up on my iPad or iPhone.

 

I have restarted the devices and turned off and back on home sharing, signed out and then back in to my iTunes/iCloud account… why aren’t they showing up?

I understand that you are not able to access your iTunes library on your iPhone or iPad when using Home Sharing. I know it's nice to be able to access your media across the network, so I'm happy to help.

Check out the troubleshooting in the below article. The first thing I want to point out is checking for updates to your computer and iTunes, especially since you've just updated your iPhone and iPad. Be sure to go through the other troubleshooting steps too if you continue to have issues:

I have signed in and out of home sharing and all software is up to date, updates on my iPad and iPhone is up to date as well. I'm also on the same network.

No go.

TV App still won’t show my library. Only “purchases”.
