Mail app crashed

I got an error message saying my Mail app crashed and needed to be re-installed. When the process starts it tries to import 200,000+ emails from my Google account and the stops because there are too many. I have no idea how there could be that many emails and can't figure out how to find and delete them.

 

I have a MacBook Air, my operating system is OS X Yosemite 10.10.5
