Forgot passcode to iPad. Tried five times in a roll. I am locked out for five minutes. I don't really know what to do? Really scared to lose all my data on it. Please help

If you can't remember its passcode follow these instructions to reset the iPad : If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

 

Presumably you have a recent backup to restore to (?)
