very slow speed when using wifi hotspot tethering

been having this problem since a few weeks now

earlier i used to get blazing fast speeds when connected to my xperia xz wifi hotspot on lte connection

i have factory reset my phone as well as tried talking to my service provider.

i have even tried resetting the wifi settings on my MacBook pro, but to no avail.

the current speeds that i am getting is not more than 1mbps, whereas earlier i used to easily get around

13-14 mbps on my MacBook wen connected to this connection.

i seem to be getting proper speed when i am connected to my home broadband wifi modem.

any help will be appreciated

i am using Mac OS sierra 10.12.6
