drive not showing in sidebar

Hi All,

macbook pro : When I add a usb drive, It shows on desktop (and works ok) - but not on left sidebar

Q: How do I get the drive to  show in sidebar?

In Finder/Preferences/Sidebar/Devices is External discs checked?
