how to move music to separate drive from Macboo...

MacBook Air is almost full how to move music to separate drive.

your music can be found in

Macintosh HD (or whatever you named it)\Users\(your account)\Music\iTunes

drag the folder to a new volume

then in iTunes go to File>Preferences / Advanced

and change the location by browsing to it.

Assuming your iTunes Library is consolidated and portable, close the iTunes App completely, and just use Finder to copy and paste the entire iTunes folder in Music to the new location.

Then just open iTunes with the option key held down, and it will aks you what library you wish yo open, point it to the itl file in the iTunes Media folder you just moved in the new location and it will open your library as it was before.

If your Library is not consolidated and portable:

Make a split library portable
