Apple Music/ iTunes

I have Apple music on my phone and wanted to play all of my songs on my laptop, I thought it would be simple. Meaning I could just log onto my account via web, I was wrong. I had to go through a lot of steps. Long story short I downloaded iTunes. I just want my same account and music that I have on my phone to be on my laptop. It says my account is correct but none of my songs are on it. How can the same account not transfer to different devices? Mainly, How can I get all of my music on my account to transfer over to other devices using the same account?
