iCloud Syncing
I currently have 2TB of storage in iCloud. I have about 200gb of home movies I'd like to backup from a local NAS to iCloud for safekeeping.
When I copied it, it promptly filled up the HD on my MacBook Pro. My method involved dragging the files in Finder to the iCloud page in a browser. This was at the behest of an Apple support person. He told me it that it wouldn't keep a copy on my HD.
I believe it does. Before I reduce my account ifrom the 2 TB something that is actually useable, can someone confirm without a doubt that I have to sync all files in iCloud account with my MacBook Pro.
(PS Please don't preach to me how this is necessary. In both Dropbox and Google Drive, there are options to choose folders not to sync. It's pretty normal as far as I can tell)
Thank you.
