After updating to Mountain Lion

i have updated my software from lion to mountain lion on my 2010-2011 macbook pro; as soon as the update completed my macbook no longer recognized the built-in camera. i checked the support site for the error "there is no conceted camera" and followed all the steps. it seems that i have no USB tab in the utilities folder; restarting and shutting down my macbook didnt help either. i am not sure if the necessary drives for isight somehow erased during the update. any suggestions?

My question is similar except on my iMac. I've tried all the things including resetting the SMC, nothing works. Do I really need to lug this thing in to the Genius Bar?
