iCloud drive options missing

Hi, I'm new here, so apologies if I have poor etiquette. 

I looked through the thread but wasn't finding an answer - or at least what I did find didn't seem to line up with my question.

I'm running OSX 10.11.6  I have an iCloud account and storage setup.  I'd like to use iCloud Drive to copy / sync (?) all of my files on my Mac.  According to Apple, in System prefs  - once I have iCloud drive turned on (which I do) I should be able to find 'desktop and documents' under options.  But they're not there.

Any help appreciated!
