App security prohibits opening a file created b...

This is more of a report than a question, I admit. I am editing a film using Final Cut Pro X (10.3.3) and I write out the music track of the film as an AIFF file.

A week later, I double-click on this file and get the message that this file was created by a "untrusted app" and "my" security settings prohibit opening the file!!  Eventually by messing with the security settings and repeated double-clicking I am granted to ability to open the file.

This is a problem Apple needs to eliminate.

What security settings did you mess with?

I've never seen that warning, but I don't use Final Cut

Once you attempt multiple times to open a file deemed from an unsecure app, when you go to the Security settings, you will see a button which more or less says, "okay click here and we will let you open this file for now."

What application is set to open AIFF files on your mac? If you control-click the file and choose Open With you will see what the default application is; you can also choose a different one (e.g. Quintino Player) and see if opens it.

I use FCP X and have never seen this, with either audio or video files exported from the application. Do other files show this problem also?
