Photos not appearing on my Mac through iCloud

I have not been able to get any new photos from iOS (running 11) onto my Mac (running High Sierra) since September 8th, and i need it working as i am loosing business.

I have my iCloud and everything set up and it was working perfectly, then all of a sudden it just stopped.

I have trawlled the internet for a fix but all i can see is to turn off Icloud and switch off my photo stream, but this will delete my photos and i cannot loose them.

please help me

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, Tushers66.

If I understand your post correctly, photos don't seem to be syncing between your iOS device and your Mac. I'm happy to help.

I can certainly understand not wanting to loose any photos while troubleshooting. Before proceeding, let's make sure your photos are safe. Use this guide to save copies of the photos in Photo Stream:

Archive or make copies of the information you store in iCloud

Once that's done, make sure that you are signed into the same Apple ID on both devices and restart both devices. This article may also help:

Let us know if that resolves this issue for you.

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. Take care.

Try going to iCloud.com using a computer to see if the items are there and whether they are from the device or the computer. That should show whether the device or the computer isn't syncing. If the computer, try going to System Preferences/iCloud and stop syncing. Wait a couple of minutes, then recheck syncing. If the device, go to Settings/Your Name/iCloud and do the above. As a last resort, you can also try signing out of iCloud and then sign in again.
