Where did my iPad apps go on my desktop iTunes?

Where did my iPad apps go on my desktop iTunes? I had to erase all the info on my iPad today.  When I went to set it back up with apps, I can't find them on my desktop iTunes.  Did they remove that part of iTunes? I want it back! Is there something I can do to revert to how it was?  I can't imagine trying to download all my apps over wifi.

I'm sorry but with iTunes 12.7 (which is required for iOS11) iTunes no longer keeps local copies of apps, you will have to redownload them all.

Locate the ipa files on your computer and manually drag them to the iPad in the iTunes sidebar.
