Ipad 5 all icons disappeared from home screen, ...

I was using my IPAD 5 when all of a sudden all my icons disappeared (safari, google, camera, applications, etc) from the home screen and and bottom bar (only two left: settings and mail) as well as all the apps icons ****;(. When you go to settings you can see all the icons there but I do not know how to bring them back to the home screens.

I read that I neede to reset it, done ... no luck. I checked settings > general >restrictions "off" .... no luck

This morning I installed an app OURPACT that sets restrictions so my daughter won't stay all day long on the ipad I wonder if this has to do with it ;(;( I try ti unsinstalled but I can't

Try going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout.

Try settings>general>reset home screen lay out. If needed try Settings>general>reset>reset all settings. I have never heard of the mentioned app. -AJ

I know this is an old post but I had the exact same problem so just wanted to reply in case someone else does too. In my case it was Our Pact that was causing the problem. I had accidentally blocked my phone which causes all the social media apps and games to disappear until access is granted again. I went to www.ourpact.com and granted access again and all the apps reappeared. Then I unpaired the device to avoid any further mistakes!

yes! that was it. i had forgotten i set my son's ipad to lock at 9PM. turned off ourpact and we are set.
