manually sync music

So, I have a few Macs - and the one that I had primarily used for my music has decided that neither CD or DVD drive should open any longer... 

OK, the other computer has a lot of the same music, plus more that my kids have downloaded (that I paid for as well lol), so - wipe the music on the phone and manually sync with the other computer, right?

No problem - authorize the computer for my iTunes account, hook up the phone, agree that I understand that content from the phone will be replaced ...

But then, after selecting and hitting 'apply' - iTunes pops up with a warning that syncing this phone will replace content on {this computer} with content from {old computer} ?

I don't care if the music on the phone is replaced - but I do not want to mess with the music on the computer's library?

Does anyone know

A - what this really means, and

B - if there is a way to put the CD I just bought onto this phone??
